Award Recognizes Most Effective, Efficient Nonprofits in Veteran Job Placement
Santa Monica, CA – September 6, 2013 – The Call of Duty Endowment today announced Atlanta, Georgia-based Hire Heroes USA as the second original recipient of the ‘Seal of Distinction’ award. The Endowment’s
‘Seal of Distinction’ award program is aimed at highlighting nonprofit organizations that have proven to be the most effective and efficient at placing veterans into high quality careers.
Hire Heroes USA has already completed a thorough analysis to certify their effective, efficient service to our veterans, which led to their selection as an original recipient of the award.
Brian Stann, President and CEO of Hire Heroes USA, stated, “We are honored to be one of the original recipients of what will surely prove to be a prestigious award – the Call of Duty Endowment Seal of
Distinction. The Endowment has consistently shown their belief in us through their ongoing financial support, and we have repaid that belief by assisting the most veterans possible with the funds they have
provided. This award serves as additional validation for our model of helping to place America’s veterans into meaningful careers.”
The call for submissions is now open and organizations may apply for the Call of Duty Endowment ‘Seal of Distinction’ through September 27, 2013 by completing the application at www.CallofDutyEndowment.org.
Nominees for the Call of Duty Endowment ‘Seal of Distinction’ must, as a minimum:
– Be a charitable, non-profit, with 501(c)(3) status
– Have a mission that incorporates directly assisting unemployed veterans in finding jobs
– Complete our application and, should they be selected as a finalist,submit to verification
Important criteria for selection include the number of veterans placed in jobs, average cost-per-placement, and a profile of typical veterans served, among other categories.

The Call of Duty Endowment will select a slate of finalists, and will be assisted by Deloitte who is working with CODE on a pro bono basis.
