With a deep dedication to our mission and a clear vision for the future, James is poised to amplify our impact, driving transformative growth and support for our Nation’s veterans and their families.

Rooted in Service: A Personal Mission

For James, serving veterans and military families is more than a job—it’s a calling deeply rooted in personal experience. Growing up in a family of veterans and serving in the Army, James has witnessed firsthand the challenges veterans face during their transition to civilian life. “This work is deeply personal to me,” James shares. “I’ve seen the impact that the right support can have on a veteran’s life, and I feel privileged to be part of a mission that helps those who have served our country thrive beyond their military service.”

James envisions a future where Hire Heroes USA leads the charge in veteran support, setting the standard for personalized career assistance. “By strengthening our partnerships, enhancing our digital tools, and expanding our reach, we can empower more veterans and military families than ever before,” James explains. “Our future is about innovation and consistent commitment to those we serve.”

Vision-Driven Leadership

Stepping into the role of Chief Development Officer, James is eager to harness the potential of Hire Heroes USA. “I’m incredibly excited to grow and strengthen the support that fuels our mission,” James says. “The opportunity to work with passionate supporters and partners, and to develop new ways to connect them with our mission, is something I look forward to every day.”

With a vision that aligns seamlessly with our mission, James is committed to creating sustainable, purpose-driven change. “Every veteran and military spouse deserves the chance to build a fulfilling career post-service,” James emphasizes. “It’s not just about finding a job—it’s about crafting a future filled with purpose and opportunity.”

A Legacy of Service and Success

James brings a wealth of experience from previous leadership roles in the nonprofit sector, particularly those focused on career support and education for veterans. During his time at The Mission Continues, James developed programs that recognized veterans’ leadership skills and empowered them to continue serving their communities. At United Way Suncoast, he led initiatives that heightened awareness of veteran employment challenges and expanded access to essential resources.

“My career has been about aligning mission-driven work with strategic growth,” James reflects. “Leading initiatives that raised millions, building impactful partnerships, and expanding reach are all skills that I bring to this role. But more than that, my passion for supporting veterans drives me to create meaningful opportunities every day.”

Commitment Beyond the Uniform

James’s personal journey as a veteran has profoundly shaped his commitment to supporting the military community. “My own transition, and seeing my father and uncles go through theirs, reinforced my dedication to this work,” James shares. “It’s not just a transition—it’s a transformation. I’m committed to ensuring veterans have the support they need during this pivotal time.”

Building the Future

Looking ahead, James sees tremendous opportunities for Hire Heroes USA to strengthen its position in the veteran service organization (VSO) space. “There’s incredible potential to deepen our partnerships with corporate and community organizations, especially in industries that value the unique skills veterans bring,” James notes. “Expanding our reach to underserved veteran populations is also a top priority, ensuring every veteran has access to the career support they deserve.”

James is particularly excited to lead initiatives that will diversify and grow our funding streams, enabling Hire Heroes USA to scale its impact. “By expanding our network of support, we can help more veterans not only find jobs but thrive in long-term, fulfilling careers,” James says. “I’m excited to contribute to that mission and see the difference our efforts make.”
