Her commitment to enhancing the lives of veterans and military spouses through innovative programming and personalized support aligns seamlessly with our mission. Together, we are set to reach new heights, empowering those who have served our country with the tools and resources they need to succeed.
A Vision Fueled by Passion and Purpose
Charlotte is inspired by the mission, team, and the opportunity to provide life-changing support to veterans and military spouses. She shares, “Hire Heroes USA already has an excellent reputation for service, and I’m excited to collaborate in helping the organization grow to serve more clients each year while evolving its programs to align with the changing needs of job seekers and employers. The impact of helping someone secure meaningful employment extends far beyond the individual—it supports families and contributes to the overall economic growth of our country.”
Charlotte’s vision is deeply intertwined with Hire Heroes USA’s mission. She is eager to expand our reach and adapt our services to the evolving landscape, ensuring that every veteran and military spouse has the opportunity to thrive in the civilian workforce. “I’m honored to be part of a team that will propel this noble mission forward and deliver programs that position veterans and military spouses to continue their service as leaders in the civilian workforce,” she emphasizes.
Leadership Rooted in Innovation and Service
Charlotte’s journey is defined by her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to solving complex problems for the military community. As a startup founder, she focused on addressing the pain points her husband faced when navigating higher education after his military service. “We were building a company to help veterans navigate the higher education process when employers began reaching out for assistance in developing recruitment and retention strategies for veteran employees,” Charlotte recalls. “Partnering with education providers and employers gave us a unique perspective on the challenges facing veterans in their transition, and it was rewarding to collaborate with all stakeholders to create meaningful solutions.”
Charlotte’s leadership extended to her role at Patriot Boot Camp, where she scaled the organization from a single event into a robust mentoring and education program for veteran entrepreneurs. Under her guidance, Patriot Boot Camp trained over 600 entrepreneurs who collectively raised more than $60 million in venture capital and created over 1,300 jobs. Her work has empowered military members, veterans, and their spouses to launch tech-focused businesses that contribute significantly to the U.S. economy.
Her experience at USAA further honed her expertise in innovation and technology integration. As Charlotte shares, “I led a team responsible for supporting new product development and operational efficiencies. One of our key challenges was introducing technology to improve efficiency without compromising the customer experience. By focusing on a customer-centric approach, we successfully implemented solutions that enhanced both employee and member experiences.”
A Personal Connection to the Mission
Charlotte’s commitment to serving the military community is deeply personal. As the spouse of an Air Force veteran, her husband Andy’s experiences during his transition out of the military became her inspiration. “Andy is my ‘why’—the driving force behind my passion for serving this community,” Charlotte reflects. “Watching him struggle through his education journey as a non-traditional student made me determined to find a better way to connect veterans with the right opportunities.”
Her dual perspective as a leader and a military spouse gives Charlotte unique insights into the challenges faced by veterans and military families. “Being a military spouse has given me a front-row seat to the resilience and determination of our service members. I understand the complexities of transition on a personal level, and it fuels my drive to support this community,” she says.
