American Corporate Partners (ACP) is a nationwide mentoring program dedicated to helping veterans transition from the armed services to the civilian workforce through mentoring, career counseling, and networking with professionals from some of America's finest corporations and select universities. ACP is not a jobs program, but a tool for networking and long-term career development. Professionals from ACP’s Participating Institutions volunteer to mentor veteran Protégés in a yearlong mentor-ship. Those who have served on active duty since 2001 as well as the spouses of those service members severely wounded or killed in action are eligible to apply to be Protégés, and those with service-related disabilities will be given preference.

ACP offers two variations of the mentoring program: In-Person mentoring and E-Mentoring. The In-Person program is available to veterans who live within 100 miles of one of ACP’s 15 cities of participation, and the E-Mentoring Program is available to veterans who live outside these cities.

Ernst and Young Hire Heroes USA, together with our partner Ernst and Young had a hugely successful trip to Balboa Naval Medical Center and Camp Pendleton in California the week of May 10th, 2010. We were invited to teach our Employment Transition Assistance Workshops to dozens of amazing wounded warriors that were soon to be transitioning out of the service and ready to embark on their transition into the civilian workforce. Overall, our mixed blend of corporate volunteers, military veterans, and combat wounded veterans was certainly crucial in gaining the warm reception from our warriors, and we look forward to serving many more.

Air Compassion for Veterans This fabulous organization's purpose is to expand assistance to American Military personnel and/or family members who have unmet needs as a result of deployment in Iraq or Afghanistan (OIF/OEF). Air Compassion for Veterans has partnered with Hire Heroes USA and graciously donated airline tickets for our Veterans to utilize for transportation to and from our Employment Readiness Retreats, classes and various nationwide events.  Sincere thanks to this amazing, and very necessary organization!

 

 

 

 

 

VeteransPlus provides financial guidance and counseling to veterans, at no cost to the veteran.  Along with non-profits who share their commitment to “Serving Those Who Have Served Us”, VeteransPlus is engaged in the delivery of high quality financial education and counseling to Americas Veterans, their families and those who wear our nation’s uniform.  In addition, Veterans plus will have financial counselors available for selected HHUSA transition assistance workshops.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sanibel Harbour Resort and Spa Memorial Day Weekend: a time for BBQ's, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying the outdoors.  To many this is also an opportunity to honor those men and women who have given their lives to protect and defend our freedom.  Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa is doing just this for Hire Heroes USA.  A portion of profits received from their upcoming Memorial Day Weekend Activities will be donated to HHUSA as a way to honor those men and women who give so much to our country.
