Alpharetta, GA (September 21, 2009) ─  Players and sponsors are needed for the “Salute to Veterans Golf Classic” tournament that will benefit Hire Heroes USA, a nonprofit organization that provides career placement assistance to military veterans returning from active duty. The tournament on Nov. 2 will tee off at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start at The Country Club of the South, in Alpharetta, GA.

Proceeds will help Hire Heroes USA enhance its expanding career program, which includes providing resources and tutoring for resume writing, interview skills and networking for soldiers and their families who have recently returned from military duty.

Alpharetta, GA (September 16, 2009) ─  Players and sponsors are needed for the “Salute to Veterans Golf Classic” tournament that will benefit Hire Heroes USA, a nonprofit organization that provides career placement assistance and job training to military veterans returning from active duty. The tournament is slated to tee off at 11 a.m. on Oct. 12 at the Churchhill Country Club in Pittsburgh, PA.

Proceeds will help Hire Heroes USA enhance its services, which includes providing resources and tutoring for resume writing, interviewing skills and networking for soldiers. Hire Heroes USA serves veterans from all military branches who have returned from duty in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, but the organization also specializes in assisting those who are injured or disabled.

Carl P. Meyer awarded Hire Heroes USA 2008 Pacesetter Award

In recognition of his initiative, conviction, personal investment and unique yet significant contributions, Hire Heroes USA proudly and humbly presented the 2008 Pacesetter Award to Carl P. Meyer at the recent MedAssets Healthcare Business Summit in Las Vegas.     Carl, Vice President of National Accounts & Distributor Relations with BSN medical Inc., elected in July of 2008 to celebrate Independence Day and show his respect for the service and sacrifice of the men and women of our Armed Forces by hosting the “100 Holes for Our Heroes” golf event benefiting Hire Heroes USA.  The novel fundraiser, held on July 4th at Chenequa Country Club in Hartland, WI, was planned and executed by Carl himself and featured an attempt by the longtime golfer to play 100 holes of golf in a single day.
