Hire Heroes USA would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the National Coalition of Associations of 7-Eleven Franchisees. During the annual conference held on July 22nd - 25th, 2010 at the Gaylord National Resort and Spa, the Association hosted a golf tournament at Andrews Air Force Base. Hire Heroes USA was chosen as the associations beneficiary for the event.
Additionally, sincere thanks to Anheuser Busch for their contributions to the golf outing which included signage, goody bag donations, and beverages, that were enjoyed by all participants.
With the dedication and support of the men and women attending the conference, the NCA SEF raised $100,000 for Hire Heroes USA. Hire Heroes USA would once again like to say thank you for the generous contributions to our program.

Meyer to play 100 holes for charity Posted: June 30, 2010 11:08 a.m.
For the third year in a row, golfer Carl Meyer of Hartland will attempt to play at least 100 holes of golf at Chenequa Country Club to benefit Hire Heroes USA on Sunday, July 4. This year, Meyer will be joined for part of the day by one of the veterans that Hire Heroes USA is working to place into a new job as he transitions from his military career to a job in the civilian workforce. Staff sergeant John Matter, a Marine sniper and recipient of three Purple Hearts, will ride along with Meyer during part of his long golf day. Meyer's 100 Holes for Our Heroes has two functions every year. First is raising awareness for the four-year-old charities mission and raising money that will directly help place veterans like Matter into a first civilian job. It costs Hire Heroes USA about $2,000 top place one veteran into the civilian workforce. There is no charge to the veteran or the employer for this service. This year's goal has been set at $100,000 so the group can place one veteran per week for one year into a job. For more information or to make a donation, call Meyer at (262) 966-0191.

A Memorial Day Weekend to Remember – HHUSA to receive $100,000! |
|

Written by Call of Duty Endowment on June 1, 2010 – 2:11 pm -
To all of those that joined our Memorial Day Campaign to increase the grant funding for Hire Heroes USA – thank you!!! Our goal was to see more than 30,000 new people support the CODE Facebook page and help HHUSA increase their grant from $20,000 up to $50,000. And boy did you answer your Call of Duty – the 30,000 figure was shattered by Sunday afternoon and that number continues to grow. And that’s not all – recognizing the impact that HHUSA has in getting our veterans back to work and their dedication to helping us raise awareness for the unemployment issue –Activision’s CEO, Bobby Kotick, has also committed to personally donating an additional $50,000 to HHUSA from his own resources.
