Career Enrichment Initiatives
As a Corporate Partner, here is what we will need to be successful:
The following step will be for your company's position(s) to either be posted on our website job board, or entered into our database to be included in a bi-weekly email blast to all of our active Veteran candidates. Please note, each Corporate partner will be able to upload 5 free jobs monthly!
We ask that all companies submit the following pieces of information which we consider necessary in order to present pre-screened and qualified candidates to fill the job descriptions/positions provided:
1. Company contact information (company address, contact person, phone and e-mail address) 2. Position location 3. Job title 4. Level of position - ex: entry level, experienced, management, senior level, intern 5. Job Function 6. Department 7. Job description 8. Qualifications/Requirements 9. Salary range 10. Benefit package (if applicable) 11. Hours for the position 12. Travel requirement 13. Please include the name and email address of the recruiter that is to be notified when qualified candidates are found that match your position. For tracking purposes, we will not be able to include links for the candidate to apply directly on your website in the job description. The appropriate application process will be followed once the veterans have been approved by your Human Resources Department.
What to Expect
Positions will remain active in the HHUSA system for 30 days upon receipt of the complete information listed above, unless a specific time frame is noted. Should the position remain unfilled after 30 days (or the company-specified period), HHUSA will make contact to verify if the position has been filled, closed or remains open and unfilled. The search for qualified candidates can then be extended for an additional 30 days.
If you have a need to upload more than 5 positions monthly, please read for further information.
Additionally, if any Veteran that participates in our program receives an interview and/or job offer within your organization, or through the efforts of your organization's recruiters, we ask to be informed of this occasion.
HHUSA Partner Portal Access
The HHUSA Partner Portal allows approved companies access to the resumes of veterans that are actively seeking employment. The Partner Portal allows searches to be done based on geographic location, education level or specific keywords. For more information, please contact us should you have further questions.
Small Business Tax Credits
Are you entitled to a tax credit?
Are you a small business with gross receipts not exceeding $ 1 million dollars or staffing less than 30 full-time employees? If so, did you know you are entitled to a tax credit for expenditures incurred while making your business accessible to individuals with disabilities.
(Title 26, IRS Code, Section 44). This tax credit is available to "eligible small businesses" in the amount of 50 percent of "eligible access expenditures" that exceed $250.00, but do not exceed $10,250.00 for a taxable year. This is a yearly tax credit depending on the eligible expenditures. Eligible access expenditures are the amounts paid or incurred by an eligible small business for the purpose of enabling the business to comply with the applicable requirements of the ADA.
These include amounts paid or incurred to: -Provide qualified interpreters or other effective methods of making orally delivered materials available to individuals with hearing impairments, -Remove architectural, communication, physical, or transportation barriers that prevent a business from being accessible to, or usable by, individuals with disabilities, -Provide qualified readers, taped texts, and other effective methods of making materials accessible to people with visual impairments, -Acquire or modify equipment or devices for individuals with disabilities, or -Provide other similar services, modifications, materials, or equipment.
For a better understanding and more accurate advice, please consult your company’s tax attorney and also check into your specific state’s employment coordinators.
