Why is there a need for a program such as Hire Heroes USA?
The transition back into civilian life can be challenging for service men and women, especially those wounded or disabled. As they seek to establish new civilian careers, many young veterans find themselves behind their peers and counterparts in terms of employment experience and networking in the civilian sector. The services HHUSA provides for our returning service members - our Heroes - help ease the transition into civilian life and ensure these selfless men and women have the opportunity to enjoy the freedoms they fought to preserve.
How long does the process take from the time a veteran registers until they are matched with jobs?
The length of the process will vary for each veteran based on the type of job and geographic location desired. On average, once the screening and resume review are completed, and the veteran's DD214 (or comparable documentation) is received, a veteran is ready for presentation to hiring companies within two to three weeks of initial registration and given current opportunities available in the veteran's preferred geographic area. HHUSA professionals assist veterans throughout the entire career search and application process.
